Purpose of the PositionThe Regular Building Substitute Teacher works as a full‑time substitute teacher in an assigned building and fills in for regular classroom teachers when they are absent. The Regular Building Substitute Teacher must facilitate student learning in accordance with the goals and directives of the school and the district.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Must hold a minimum of State of Illinois Substitute Type 39 Certificate and be governed by PA 97‑0607.
