Position DescriptionThe Department of Education Leadership, Evaluation, & Organizational Development (LEAD) invites applications for Part-time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the following program areas:
- Programs in Educational Leadership
- Programs in Organizational Leadership & Learning
- Program in Career & Technical Education
- Program in Human Resource & Organizational Development
- Programs in Healthcare Leadership (delivered in a Competency-Based Education format)
- Programs in Higher Education Administration
- Program in evaluation offer courses in a range of modalities beyond traditional settings, including blended and online formats.
- Master’s required for undergraduate courses, but an earned doctorate is preferred.
- Doctorate is required for graduate courses.
- Highest graduate degree must be in the field of study or a closely related field with clear justifications on qualifications.
- Prior teaching experience is also preferred.
Instructors are expected to submit course syllabus, order textbooks or other reading materials, provide developmentally meaningful feedback, present engaging learning experiences, respond to students in a timely manner, communicate regularly with the designated academic program director, maintain collegial and respectful relations with members of the UofL community and external stakeholders, and submit course data (e.g., Hallmark Assessment Tasks, midterm progress reports) and final grades within university deadlines, and comply with other requests as a part‑time lecturer such as completing an attestation disclosure form.
SalarySalary based on a per credit hour value.
