Location: Louisville

Village Academy, located within Village Behavioral Health in Louisville, TN, is seeking a Certified High School Math Teacher for the  academic year. This position serves students in a structured, therapeutic educational setting and requires a highly skilled educator committed to supporting students with diverse academic and behavioral needs. This position is a traditional Monday-Friday schedule with a starting annual salary of $50k-$55k.

Position Summary:

The Math Teacher is responsible for delivering standards-based instruction aligned with Tennessee state standards while supporting students in a residential treatment environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong classroom management, flexibility, and a commitment to individualized instruction.

* Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver engaging math instruction aligned with TN standards
* Implement individualized supports based on student needs and IEP goals
* Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of student progress
* Collaborate with clinical, residential, and educational staff
* Support a positive, safe, and structured learning environment

Minimum Qualifications:

* Valid Tennessee teaching license with high school math endorsement
* Experience teaching secondary math content
* Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and progress monitoring
* Ability to maintain a structured, consistent classroom environment

Preferred Qualifications:

*
  • Experience working in alternative, special education, or therapeutic settings
    * Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and behavioral supports
