Fayette County Public Schools seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our school system. The successful candidate will join a professional organization dedicated to student success.
The candidate will perform duties customary to a high school teacher in grades 9–12, including preparing lessons toward mastery of state standards, collaborating with other faculty, small group instruction, differentiating instruction and providing interventions, working with administrators and coaches to improve performance, monitoring students, and collaborating and communicating with parents and other stakeholders. Developing and administering assessments is also required.
Qualifications- Active Tennessee teaching license for the applicable grade and subject or the ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
- Hold appropriate Tennessee certification license.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Effective decision‑making and verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly qualified in this area.

Working Environment – This job is performed in a standard office environment and a generally clean and healthy environment. Generally, the job requires about 40% sitting, 20% walking, and 40% standing.
Physical Requirements – Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
