Learning Trainer
The Learning Trainer works with Operations Managers, Area Managers, IT Managers, Production Assistants, and Associates to coordinate all training related activities for the site. The individual in this position will provide facilitation, administrative management, and is expected to constantly improve the long-term capabilities of the area to which they are assigned. Key job responsibilities include measuring production quality/quantity and applying learning tools to improve both.
They evaluate and improve processes within work areas; refine learning tools and techniques across the building; assist in measuring the effectiveness of learning; measure the impact of their development efforts; improve associates' job-related skills; develop, maintain, and apply learning tools (methods, checklists, and skill building agreements) to encourage associate development. They identify areas for associate cross-training and support and implement the training to support the objective;
support the updating of SOPs and SOP certification of associates and managers; assist in driving the success of peak and non-peak training plans.
A day in the life of a Learning Trainer starts on the floor — working alongside associates in various process paths, observing performance, and identifying skill gaps. They deliver hands-on training for PIT operations, TDR, and process path procedures while supporting Learning Ambassadors with approved materials. Throughout the shift, they conduct audits, update training records using electronic tools, and ensure SOP compliance.
They give and receive feedback in real time, check for understanding, and remove barriers to associate success. They close the day by reporting insights to area managers and contributing to continuous improvement through PDCA and Kaizen activities.
