Camp Widjiwagan of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is Now Hiring for a Equestrian Lesson Instructor
Position Type: Part-time – Summer 2026
Pay Range starts at $17 per hour (or more depending on experience)
Minimum Age to Apply: 18
Shift:Sunday to Friday, mornings and/or evenings
Love horses and want to make a lasting impact this summer? We’re looking for enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our team as Equestrian Lesson Instructor s this Summer! Whether you're leading trail rides, teaching riding lessons, or caring for our herd, this is your chance to turn your passion into a memorable summer.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll teach beginner and intermediate riding lessons, guide trail rides, and maintain proper care for our horses and facilities. From fostering a love for riding to building relationships with participants, you’ll model the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility every step of the way.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum three years’ experience in horse handling (lesson experience a plus!)
- Certifications like CHA or USDF are a bonus
- A team-oriented attitude and a love for working outdoors
Certifications
Required:
We’ll help you get CPR/First Aid/AED certified before your first shift.
