Special Education Teacher | Bethpage, Tennessee

You will be the IEP case manager for roughly 95 students in grades 6 through 8, playing a central role in guiding individualized education plans. Rather than direct classroom teaching, your focus will be on observing, collaborating, and supporting both students and educators. Youll partner with general education and special education teachers, ensuring that appropriate modifications and supports are in place for each student.

Regularly, you'll provide insights and strategies to help teachers meet student needs within a general education setting.

• Active Tennessee certification as a Special Education Teacher with endorsements for grades 68 (codes 144145)
• Experience working with IEPs and maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Skillful in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including general education and other SPED staff
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate approach to supporting the diverse needs of middle school learners

• Serve as primary IEP case manager for approximately 95 students
• Observe students to assess progress and classroom dynamics
• Consult and collaborate with general education and special education teachers
• Provide support and recommendations for student inclusion in the general education setting
• Ensure all documentation and processes for IEP management are up to date and compliant

This contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., offering full-time consistency in your schedule.
