Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of dry‑type transformers and related electrical components. This role requires hands‑on engineering expertise to support manufacturing activities, develop new designs, troubleshoot technical challenges, and implement improvements for efficiency and performance. Working with cross‑functional teams; including production, quality, and supply chain; the Senior Mechanical Engineer ensures that all products meet performance goals, customer expectations, and regulatory standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably in transformer design or related manufacturing industries.
• Proven ability to design and analyze mechanical systems and components using modern design software such as Solid Works or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of industry standards (UL, CSA, IEEE, NEMA) and compliance procedures.
• Experience with failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation.
• Strong understanding of thermal and structural analysis for power equipment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Lead Mechanical Design:
  Develop and optimize mechanical systems and components for dry‑type transformers, PDUs, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
• Conduct Engineering Analysis:
  Perform detailed thermal and structural evaluations to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost‑efficiency.
• Support Manufacturing Operations:
  Provide on‑site technical assistance to production teams, troubleshoot design issues, and guide prototype development and testing.
• Drive Continuous Improvement:
  Identify opportunities to enhance product designs, processes, and materials, promoting innovation and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate Across Departments:
  Partner with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs transition smoothly into production.
• Perform Failure Analysis:
  Investigate product or process issues, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain Documentation:
  Prepare and update engineering drawings, technical reports, and design specifications to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Mentor and Guide:
  Provide technical support and occasional mentorship to junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development.
• Ensure Compliance:
  Stay informed of industry trends, codes, and regulatory updates to keep all designs compliant and competitive.
