Supervise and efficiently manage hourly personnel in assigned areas of responsibility in a safe and compliant manner. Responsible for producing a quality product in a timely and safe manner.

On-site in Erwin, TN.

• Studies and understands the applicable requirements, labor contract, procedures, and equipment utilized in the work area.
• Trains and assigns hourly personnel to work to ensure that safe practices and correct job requirements are performed.
• Reports equipment malfunctions, procedural deviations, absenteeism, accidents, and/or other unusual occurrences.
• Prepares minor work orders and coordinates applicable work under major work orders and Radiation Work Permits.
• Reviews/approves applicable records, runsheets, and/or other documentation in the work area.
• Completes applicable reports and provides other information as requested.
• Administers disciplinary action when required and addresses inadequate performance issues promptly.

• One year of college Chemistry or Physics.
• Two years of college education or in lieu of the 2 years of college education, 4 years of experience in radiation safety may be considered at the discretion of the Safety & Safeguards Director.
• One year of experience in applied health physics.
• One to two years experience in a chemical or nuclear facility or one to two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing or military environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Pay: $63,000.00- $99,000.00

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000.00 and $99,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
