Join a high-performing team that is going for a home run!Copperweld is looking for a driven, dedicated Senior Process Engineer to lead complex process optimization projects and improve operational efficiency across our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone with advanced technical expertise in process engineering and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Process Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our processes to meet both customer expectations and operational targets.
WHATWe Need You To Do.
- Lead and manage advanced process improvement projects, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements that align with business goals.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for complex process issues to develop effective corrective actions.
- Design and implement process controls, monitoring systems, and performance metrics to track progress and ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of new processes and technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior process engineers, providing training, support, and career development opportunities.
- Manage capital projects, including process automation and equipment upgrades, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements across all processes.
- Continuously review industry trends and innovations to integrate best practices and new technologies into operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a proven track record of leading successful process optimization initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Advanced technical skills in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with process control systems, automation, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands‑on approach to process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, process simulation tools, and CAD software.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
