Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc. seeks an Engineer, Process (Plant) based out of our office in Surgoinsville, Tennessee. This position does not require travel.

This position works in the areas of extrusion, brazing, coating and assembly. Initial responsibilities include evaluating current processes, conducting gap analysis from global standards, and being responsible for equipment and tooling design, documentation, installation of equipment and tooling trials. Includes cost estimating and launch support. Must be able to make improvements on existing processes. This role also involves developing inline inspection and monitoring systems.

Other key responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field of study.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Six (6) months of experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering or related position. Experience with Eddy Current Testing gained through employment or training. Six (6) months of experience with coating processes on steel substrate;
Six (6) months of experience with CAD (Solid Works and AutoCAD) for design and modeling; experience with ERP systems including Bill of Materials (BOM), Routers, Cost estimating, and Materials Management (MM); experience in project management;
Microsoft Project; experience with customer portals; experience in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA & GD&T. Six Sigma Certification also required.

RATE OF PAY: $90,563 per year
