Role Overview
Directly responsible for the development and implementation of capital projects and manufacturing processes, working closely with Plant and Branch Operations to anticipate and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate maintenance and repair services for plant locations.
- Follow manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures, requesting special services as needed.
- Conduct plant visits to assist with project planning, process improvement, and to maintain company assets.
- Provide manufacturing engineering information to customers.
- Manage the capital expenditure program, including budgeting, project planning, and implementation.
- Develop cost‑reduction, quality, and safety enhancement projects/opportunities.
- Perform payback analysis, obtain quotes, and oversee project installation.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through analysis and workflow planning.
- Develop manufacturing processes and new tooling.
- Conferring with equipment vendors on product design and capabilities.
- Coordinate engineering changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Experience &
Skills:
- 1‑5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing organization (internships considered).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and 3D CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD).
- Controls experience (Allen‑Bradley PLC, Automation).
- Industrial engineering skills such as work measurement, labor reporting, and plant layout.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical/electro‑mechanical systems.
- Understanding of building and maintenance contracts, liability issues, and asset justification.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations and codes.
