Location: Huntsville

Role Overview

Directly responsible for the development and implementation of capital projects and manufacturing processes, working closely with Plant and Branch Operations to anticipate and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair services for plant locations.
  • Follow manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures, requesting special services as needed.
  • Conduct plant visits to assist with project planning, process improvement, and to maintain company assets.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering information to customers.
  • Manage the capital expenditure program, including budgeting, project planning, and implementation.
  • Develop cost‑reduction, quality, and safety enhancement projects/opportunities.
  • Perform payback analysis, obtain quotes, and oversee project installation.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency through analysis and workflow planning.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and new tooling.
  • Conferring with equipment vendors on product design and capabilities.
  • Coordinate engineering changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline.

Experience &

Skills:

  • 1‑5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing organization (internships considered).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and 3D CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD).
  • Controls experience (Allen‑Bradley PLC, Automation).
  • Industrial engineering skills such as work measurement, labor reporting, and plant layout.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical/electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of building and maintenance contracts, liability issues, and asset justification.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and codes.
