Security Compliance Specialist
Position Overview
Responsible for oversight and implementation of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Security Compliance Program. Program elements include physical security, security monitoring, access control, communication systems, and security systems testing and maintenance. The Security Compliance Specialist ensures that NFS maintains compliance with all applicable NRC regulations and orders.

Your Day to Day as a AUKUS Security Compliance Specialist- Plan and implement security upgrades in response to NRC regulatory changes.
- Evaluate impact of new NRC requirements and prepare submittal of impact evaluation comments.
- Manage testing and maintenance program to keep all security systems operable.
- Analyze Safety Evaluation Requests and provide change‑management oversight.
- Develop and maintain NRC‑approved Physical Security and Contingency Plans and associated site procedures.
- Serve as primary contact for regulatory licensing, internal audits and NRC inspections.
- Respond to self‑identified deficiencies and NRC violations, implementing corrective actions.
- Track and trend reliability and replacement of security systems and components.
- Develop functional specifications and budget projections for system upgrades.
- Provide technical assistance and collaborate with Security Compliance and Access Control Manager and NRC Unit Manager.
- 12 years of experience with an A.S. degree; 15 years of related experience without an A.S. degree.
- Preferably supervisory or leadership experience in a related field.

$65,000 to $103,000 per year, with potential for additional cash incentives and a full benefits package including health, dental, retirement and paid time off. Salary placement within the range will depend on local market factors and the applicant’s experience and qualifications. Candidates will undergo a federal background investigation and must meet U.S. citizenship and DOE clearance requirements.
