Our Power & Data division in Johnson City, TN is now seeking a skilled Electronics Design Engineer I to join our dynamic team! As our Electronics Design Engineer I, you will be responsible for the design/development of new technology, products, and processes to meet cost, schedule and performance goals. You will work with high-level personnel including internal Moog stakeholders, our valued customers, and vendors.

You will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager and enjoy a first shift, onsite work schedule in a very collaborative and welcoming environment.

• Design electronics hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.
• Conduct electronics hardware level integration and test.
• Support multiple aspects of technical project planning, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and technical interface meetings throughout the program lifecycle.
• Ensure traceability between customer requirements and system requirements.
• Develop engineering test requirements and unit/subsystem/system test plans.
• Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its creative technical reputation.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.
• 2+ years of electronics hardware design and development experience.
• Experience designing PCB boards involving microprocessors and data communication.

• Knowledge of optical system design and related technologies.
• Proven expertise in high-speed digital and analog circuit design, including work with Layer 2+ Ethernet switches, Ethernet PHYs, DC/DC power management, signal retimers/redrivers, FPGAs, CPLDs, and microcontrollers.
• Hands‑on experience with widely used communication protocols, including USB, CAN, RS-422, RS-485, SPI, IC, and UART.

Johnson City, TN $75,000.00-$ Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
