Plant Manager Position

Veolia Water Tech is looking to incorporate a Plant Manager to lead the operations of our desalination plant in La Guancha, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

MISSION OF THE POSITION:
To ensure operational excellence, optimization of processes, and integral management of the desalination plant, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operational Management:
• Optimization of water treatment and production processes
• Supervision of critical parameters: quality, quantity, recovery, and salinity
• Control and optimization of energy consumption
• Efficient management of resources and consumables
• Technical Management:
• Development and implementation of preventive/corrective maintenance plans
• Supervision and coordination of internal and external technical teams
• Implementation of operational and technological improvements
• Elaboration of technical reports and KPIs
• People Management:
• Leadership and development of the team in charge
• Coordination of operational shifts and guards
• Management of suppliers and contractors
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with safety and PRL regulations
• Supervision of quality and environmental standards
• Maintenance of operational certifications and permits

• Education in Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
• Knowledge of water treatment systems.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of industrial facilities.
• English level B2.
• Customer orientation.
• Ability to solve technical problems.
• Ability to coordinate within a European team.
• Diplomatic and communication skills.
