Are you an engineer who enjoys working directly with customers and solving complex design challenges? We're looking for an Application Engineer to partner with OEM customers and internal engineering teams to develop innovative seating solutions for the automotive, commercial vehicle, and off-highway industries.
In this role, you'll help guide products from concept through production launch while serving as the technical expert for assigned customer programs.
What You'll Do- Serve as the primary technical contact for OEM customers.
- Translate customer requirements into manufacturable seating solutions.
- Support product development from concept, prototype, validation, and launch.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and sales teams.
- Troubleshoot engineering and manufacturing issues.
- Support APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, and engineering change activities.
- Recommend product and process improvements that enhance quality and reduce cost.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of Application, Product, Design, or Mechanical Engineering experience.
- Automotive, commercial vehicle, heavy equipment, or off-highway industry experience.
- Experience supporting OEM customers.
- Knowledge of seating systems, ergonomics, suspension seating, or related products is preferred.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, and product launches.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications.
- Experience with CATIA, Solid Works, or similar CAD software.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel 10-20%.
- Work on products from concept through production.
- Collaborate with leading OEMs and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Influence innovative seating solutions used across automotive, commercial vehicle, and heavy equipment markets.
