This role exists to support the Entertainment Department in performing the general technical duties for various shows and activations in order to provide Park Guests with a high-quality entertainment experience matching the expected level of Dolly and the Dollywood brand.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Be knowledgeable of assigned location and its technical equipment
- Be knowledgeable of show content and individual production tracks
- Assist technical set up of shows and activations
- Be able and willing to share knowledge and best use cases with other technical team members
- Must work well with Stage manager, Technical Operations Area Assistant Team Lead, cast and crew
- Responsible for staging and resetting various stages for all shows and activations
- Wear Dollywood Entertainment provided costume or uniform
- Keep work area orderly, neat, safe, and well-maintained
- Assist in other areas of Entertainment Division as directed
- Have a basic knowledge of electricity
- Operate a spotlight
Education and Experience Required
- Must be minimum 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years backstage experience with school, community or professional theaters preferred
- Carpentry and electrical skills preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
- Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check
