We want to work alongside someone who acts as an extension of our mission, values, and culture. The ideal Festival Host will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

The Special Events Festival Host exists to assist the Special Events team in various festival set ups and operational roles as needed. This is to be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company.

The ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary of

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and initiate friendly interaction
  • Provide Guest excellence which exceeds expectations, answer questions, and provide park information
  • Clean and organize work area daily to present a professional appearance and use free time productively
  • Maintain a dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules
  • Give two weeks' notice for requested days off and have all necessary schedule changes approved by my Team Lead
  • Perform special projects as directed
  • Install and service Christmas lights as needed
  • Assist with load‑in and day‑to‑day operations of Crafters, Vendors, and any other operational needs
Education and Experience Required
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Excellent verbal communicator – accurate, consistent, and detailed
  • Must be able to count
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check

  • Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees
  • Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work

  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information

  • Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelines
  • Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved communication methods
  • Able to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects ahead of schedule, fostering open communication and mutual support to achieve shared goals
  • Able to comprehend instructions and retain information
  • Able to perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests
  • Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities
  • Able to operate various types of heavy machinery and construction equipment
  • Able to operate power and hand tools including but not limited to drills, screw guns, staple guns, hammer and other tools
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy
  • Must be willing to work in any assigned area of Operations and perform other functions as assigned
