Position: Parking Ambassador - Dollywood Theme Park - Full Time Seasonal

Job Overview
Dollywood Parks & Resorts is looking for a Parking Ambassador to embody our mission of creating memories worth repeating. The Parking Ambassador will welcome families into our parking areas, direct traffic, validate premium parking purchases, keep the parking lots clean, and support the tram loading process. The role requires a positive, patient, and proactive presence in line with Dollywood’s Lead with Love values.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Greets guests and initiates friendly interactions.
  • Ensures Dollywood’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy is implemented.
  • Reacts calmly and quickly in stressful or emergency situations.
  • Physically assists guests throughout the parking area as required.
  • Meets the needs of guests and facilitates parking with clear hand signals and signage.
  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail, keeping parking areas clear of debris and presenting a professional appearance.
  • Assists with the placement of cones, barricades, and directional signage as directed.
  • Displays Lead with Love qualities (patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated).
  • Completes daily written reports and submits necessary paperwork to the Parking PIC.
  • Maintains a sense of urgency to reduce guest wait time.
  • Assists with other parking areas as requested by Management.
  • Wears and maintains the themed costume issued by Dollywood.
  • Operates vehicles/work and performs each position in all weather conditions.
  • Performs special projects as directed by Management.
  • Attends all required training classes and meetings.
  • Complies with safety and security directives, policies, and procedures to ensure host and guest safety.
  • Makes confidentiality considerations at all times.
  • Reports any violation of safety standards.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Minimum age: 16 years.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance; acceptable driving record.
  • No more than three traffic violations in the last three years.
  • No DUI conviction in the past 15 years.
  • Post‑offer vision test for driving positions per DOT requirements.
  • Background screening including criminal history and motor vehicle record check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Friendly, outgoing, polite, courteous, and dependable.
  • Self‑motivated, disciplined, and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Good judgment and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with guests and hosts.
  • Professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Team‑player who cooperates and helps colleagues.
  • Adaptable to change and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attentive, alert, and able to maintain focus.
  • Proficient using approved ticketing systems and willing to learn additional functions.
  • Ability to operate a fire extinguisher and tolerate detergents and chemicals.
  • Above‑average attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. following safety guidelines.
  • Standing, walking, or sitting for up to 13 hours; travel to varied property areas.
  • Repetitive hand or arm movements may occur.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Strong cognitive skills—critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication.
  • Manual dexterity for all job duties.
  • Ability to work in confined or open spaces as required.
