About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Event Planning Assistant to join their dynamic team in East London . This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the planning and execution of a wide variety of events, from corporate functions to private celebrations. You will work closely with experienced event planners, providing support in various tasks to ensure events run seamlessly and successfully, contributing to creating memorable experiences for clients and guests.

• Assist event planners with logistical arrangements, including venue research, vendor sourcing, and contract management.
• Help prepare event materials, such as guest lists, seating charts, and event timelines.
• Support on-site event execution, including setup, guest assistance, and problem-solving as needed.
• Manage event-related correspondence and maintain organized filing systems.
• Conduct research on event trends, venues, and suppliers to aid in planning.
• Assist with post-event tasks, such as feedback collection and vendor follow-ups.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Enthusiasm for the events industry and a proactive learning attitude.
