Senior Domain Consultant - Banking

Location: India

We are seeking an experienced Functional Analyst with a strong background in banking operations and credit risk management. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring that complex banking solutions are designed, documented, and delivered to meet stringent regulatory and operational requirements. ________________________________________

Key Responsibilities 1. Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, Feature Designers, and project managers to elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements specific to banking and credit risk domains
• Document requirements in clear, structured formats (user stories, functional specifications, requirement traceability matrices) that serve as a single source of truth for the project
2. Requirements Analysis & Validation
• Analyze gathered requirements to identify inconsistencies, gaps, conflicts, and ambiguities before they propagate to the development phase
• Ensure requirements align with credit risk methodologies, including credit rating, probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), and exposure at default (EAD) calculations
3. Functional Design & Specifications
• Develop detailed functional design specifications that translate business needs into system behavior, workflows, and functionality for banking solutions
• Create end-to-end process flows and system design documents
• Document functional requirements for data validation, system integrations, reporting, and audit trails to meet banking compliance standards
• Define acceptance criteria, business rules, and system constraints within credit risk and lending domains
