Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations and overall functions of the community business office

  • Maximize cash flow through timely and accurate billing, collections, and reimbursement processes

  • Provide administrative and office support to the Administrator and leadership team

  • Manage accounts receivable, petty cash, resident trust funds, and cash receipts

  • Assist residents and families with move‑ins, tours, financial paperwork, and general inquiries

  • Direct, coordinate, and monitor all activities of the business office to ensure compliance and efficiency

  • Submit claims for all payer types in accordance with company policies and all state/federal regulations

  • Track, monitor, and collect outstanding accounts receivable

  • Report delinquent accounts and financial concerns to facility leadership

  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records

BOM

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required

  • Associate degree in Business Administration preferred, but not required

  • Prior business office experience in a healthcare or long‑term care setting is required

  • 1–3 years of bookkeeping and administrative experience

  • Working knowledge of accounting procedures, including petty cash, resident trust funds, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts rece

  • Previous experience (1–3 years) in a nursing home or long‑term care business office strongly preferred

  • Solid understanding of Long‑Term Care regulations and compliance requirements

  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Managed Care billing processes is required

  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer‑service skills
