Imaging Assistant Transporter
Patient transporters, also known as hospital transporters, are responsible for moving patients to various locations throughout the hospital. Assist patients or lifting patients into a wheelchair or stretcher. Transport to a different location in the hospital for a medical procedure. Offer support and encouragement to patients, ensuring patients are safe and comfortable during transit. Monitoring exams that are ordered to know when transportation is needed.
Complying with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Providing information and directions to patients and visitors. Ensuring the completion of examinations in a timely manner for dictation by radiologist. Correcting any errors with order, or patient information as needed.
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: CPR certification

Education:
High School diploma preferred
C.
Experience:
6 months or greater preferred with previous experience in a hospital setting.
D. Special qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, computer skills helpful. Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care. Reliable time management and punctuality.
This position requires competence in assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training, or experience.

Requires hearing and vision within functional range. Requires frequent bending, walking, squatting, moving and lifting of patients and sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment.
This position requires the use of personal protective equipment during various tasks/activities. Personal protective equipment includes, but is not limited to, gloves, masks and safety glasses.
