Location: Pikeville

Pikeville Urgent Care/Pikeville Clinic in Pikeville TN is seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires strong clerical skills and proficiency in medical scheduling, ensuring that patient appointments run smoothly and efficiently.

Duties
  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process at the front desk.
  • Manage phone calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments effectively.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems.
  • Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with medical coding and billing processes as needed.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow within the office.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
  • Support administrative tasks to enhance the overall efficiency of the medical office.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving front desk operations or medical scheduling.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, is a plus.
  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in clerical tasks and administrative duties related to healthcare operations.
  • Knowledge of medical coding practices is beneficial but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate.
