Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

At The Waters of Kingsport Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their highest level of independence and well-being.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate COTA to join our interdisciplinary therapy team. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to design and implement effective occupational therapy programs for our residents. • Assist Occupational Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized occupational therapy plans

• Implement various occupational therapy interventions and activities to help residents achieve their goals

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure resident progress and adapt therapy plans as needed

• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident progress and develop care plans

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident therapy sessions and progress

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in occupational therapy preferred

• Minimum 0 years of experience in a healthcare setting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
