At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating! We are seeking a Housekeeping Trainer who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together while caring deeply about our brand.

The Housekeeping Trainer is responsible for the creation and implementation of the housekeeping training program including cleaning standards and procedures for guest rooms, housemen and public space. The host is responsible for safety and chemical training and compliance, monthly reviews of program and host opportunities with Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeper. The host will assist with daily assignments and supervision of floor inspectors and dispatcher.
Other responsibilities include the proper inspection of all linens and amenities for the unit, assistance with weekly and monthly inventory. This is all to be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company.

Summary Of Essential Functions And Responsibilities- Creates and implements training program for housekeepers, public space, housemen and inspectors with keeping safety and chemical compliance in mind
- Conducts departmental and on-the-job training of housekeeping staff and maintain a log on all hosts from hire date through tenure
- Creates score board for spot audits and inspections and maintain log and record
- Supervises floor inspectors to ensure highest quality of unit cleanliness and compliance to departmental and resort Standard Operating Procedures
- Assists Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeper in supervising housekeeping hosts and ensuring that they are treated fairly and provided a positive work environment
- Motivates, coaches and counsels host for excellence and continual improvement
- Inspects the overall cleanliness, appearance, and condition of rooms after cleaning by housekeeping staff to ensure quality standards are met; identify and resolve quality problems
- Inspects all televisions, alarm clocks, telephones, any electronic device provided in room to insure all are in working order to include any remote-control device; immediately report any problems to maintenance
- Manages the completion of the annual room’s deep clean process, ensuring that all work is completed and product is ready
- Inspects the overall cleanliness of the public space areas and ensure quality standards are met and maintained. Identify and resolve quality problems
- Evaluates systems, analyze data, evaluate products and technology an establish quality control procedures. Monitor cleaning supplies, keep inventory of supplies and order when necessary
- Ensures that proper maintenance is provided in order to extend the useful life of assets and the dependability of equipment
- Ensures that all work is completed in a safe manner and that is complies with the company safety program and all applicable deferral, state, and local laws or regulations and industry standards
- Follows company policies to handle any safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications
- Evaluates cleaning supplies; investigate cleaning product quality problems and recommend changes or improvements

Education And Experience Required- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least 1-year experience as a room inspector or supervisor in hotel/hospitality
- High school diploma required, college preferred
- A work history that demonstrates supervisory skills to include verbal and written communication, leadership, planning, and organizing
