Corporate Director of Human Resources
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and people-focused Corporate Director of Human Resources to lead human resources operations across a growing multi-state entertainment and hospitality organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR leader who understands the pace of guest-facing operations, the complexity of multi-location employment compliance, and the importance of building strong workplace cultures that support both employees and business performance.
The Corporate Director of Human Resources will serve as the senior HR business partner to executive leadership and property-level management teams. This position will oversee HR strategy, employee relations, recruitment and retention, compliance, training, performance management, compensation support, and policy administration across multiple entertainment and hospitality locations. The successful candidate will bring sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance corporate standards with the practical needs of fast-moving operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting HR strategy for multiple operating locations across state lines, ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
- Partnering with executive leadership, general managers, and department leaders on workforce planning, organizational structure, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Overseeing employee relations matters, conducting or guiding investigations, supporting corrective action, and helping resolve workplace concerns professionally and consistently.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour, leave administration, workplace accommodations, anti-discrimination practices, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Guiding talent acquisition strategies for corporate, management, seasonal, hourly, and guest-facing roles in a competitive labor market.
- Developing, updating, and administering HR policies, handbooks, procedures, and training programs that align with company values and operational needs.
- Supporting performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and employee recognition programs.
- Collaborating with payroll, benefits, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and employee-centered HR service delivery.
- Using HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support informed business decisions.
- Traveling to company locations as needed to provide onsite HR leadership, build relationships, and support property-level teams.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibility in a multi-location environment.
- Experience supporting entertainment, hospitality, attractions, food and beverage, retail, tourism, or other guest-service operations strongly preferred.
- Strong employee relations, investigation, conflict resolution, and leadership coaching skills.
- Proven ability to lead HR initiatives while remaining accessible, service-oriented, and responsive to operational teams.
- Experience with HR systems, applicant tracking systems, payroll partnerships, reporting, and workforce analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- High level of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Work location and travel:
This position is based in office in Pigeon Forge, TN with occasional travel to company locations as business needs require. The role requires flexibility to support operations that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, peak seasons, and special events.
