Work Experience:
7 to 12 years
* Exceptional skill in configuring, running, monitoring, and tuning Java applications running in an Apache/NGINX with Tomcat configuration, JBOSS, Web Sphere, Web Logic, and JMX Console.
* Experience with Git Hub, Jenkins, and SVN is required.
* Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
* Good to have experience with one or more scripting languages such as Shell/Curl scripting.
* Exceptional skill with Linux/Unix bash command line.
* Demonstrable preference for approaching work via automation as a first choice.
* Good to have experience with monitoring tools like App Dynamics and ELK/Kibana.
* Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing log analysis, application performance management (APM), and real user monitoring (RUM).
* Experience providing hands-on monitoring as well as authoring monitoring and alerting using multiple toolsets.
* Proven ability to write effectively in English for a business audience.
* Exemplary practice in root cause analysis, documenting findings, and providing evidence.
* Experience in writing standard operating procedures and following them rigorously.
* Demonstrable experience with production operations issue management and response.
* Ability to collaborate with internal support and engineering teams as well as third-party vendors on problem-solving.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple issues to resolution.
* Capability to lead a technical team of peers toward issue resolution.
* Experience using issue/workflow ticket tracking systems.
* History of acting as a subject matter expert and training peers and stakeholders.
* B.S. degree in Computer Science, Systems Administration, or 5+ years of systems management experience in a professional production setting.
* Experience with deployment and release management.
* Self-motivated and collaborative.
* Good communication skills.
