Information Technology Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the cooperative’s technology environment, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Oversee network, hardware, software, database, cybersecurity, and communications systems across daily operations.
- Shape long‑term technology strategy and partner with leadership to assess infrastructure needs, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions.
- Direct annual technology goal setting, capital planning, and disaster recovery planning.
- Develop and enforce IT standards related to hardware, software, cybersecurity, productivity tools, internet access, security, and change management.
- Manage acquisition, installation, and maintenance of local and wide area network hardware and software.
- Provide leadership and guidance on technology initiatives that support service, security, efficiency, and reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum five years of IT management experience.
- Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to define infrastructure and operational needs, assess alternatives, and communicate sound recommendations.
- Experience developing technology and cybersecurity goals, implementation plans, and financial projections.
- Working knowledge of WAN, WLAN, and LAN environments.
- Remote connectivity knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with phone systems.
- Website design experience required.
- Strong understanding of IT standards, security practices, internet access, and change management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
- Valid Tennessee Class D driver’s license or ability to obtain.
