Headquartered in Rockford, Tennessee, Remote Area Medical – RAM® is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free quality healthcare to those in need. RAM accomplishes its mission by operating mobile clinics offering a combination of dental, vision, and medical services to underserved and uninsured individuals.
The Telehealth Coordinator reports directly to the Telehealth Manager and serves on the Operations Team.
Job Responsibilities- Building and maintaining healthy strategic relationships with direct supervisors, personnel, volunteers and partners that would benefit department and organizational objectives.
- Assisting in mobilizing, recruiting, securing, training, supporting and serving telehealth volunteers and telehealth access partners; recording data as needed; building necessary reports as directed from telehealth operations.
- Assisting in recruiting, securing and serving telehealth patients; recording data as needed; building necessary reports as directed from the RAM chain of command.
- Maintaining operational familiarity with telehealth processes, software, equipment and vehicles.
- Monitoring industry trends for opportunities.
- Securely maintaining RAM Electronic Health Records (EHR), accurately calculating the Value of Care generated, reporting telehealth activity as directed, writing and maintaining SOPs and related administrative tasks.
- Gaining familiarity with new telehealth patient best practices, products, services and equipment as they come online.
- Working multiple weekends per year by leading telehealth events remotely and in-person, including weekend travel.
- Recommending program opportunities, processes, procedures, policies, methods to improve relations, and functions of department objectives.
- Planning, executing and acting as the "Final Authority" at all assigned telehealth events, activities, and operations.
- Attending conferences and training to continually improve personal professional development and RAM telehealth.
- Relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks as directed by the RAM chain of command
- Must have basic technology troubleshooting skills (software and hardware).
- Must have knowledge of or be willing to learn to use telehealth relevant software, hardware and connectivity.
- Significant overnight and multi-day travel.
- Frequent non-standard workdays and work hours.
- Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 40lbs
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive RAM vehicles
- Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Must be willing to drive RAM vehicles on overnight/multi-day deployments
- Must be proficient in verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills
