Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our agile IT Infrastructure team in Nashville location. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining our LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments. The ideal candidate will also work w/ Leadership in Germany for the Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including network segmentation, and lead efforts in Network Access Control (NAC).

Due to the small team size, a collaborative mindset and willingness to support adjacent areas such as virtualization, storage, and server administration is essential. Must have significant experience utilizing Generic Network Engineer technology.

• Must have 5+ yrs designing, deploying, and managing enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• Administer and optimize Palo Alto firewalls, including policy management and network segmentation strategies.
• Proven experience with Cisco networking equipment (fiber switches and Cisco UCS blade servers) and Extreme Networks.
• Familiarity with virtualization (e.g., VMware‑vSphere), storage systems, and server administration.
• Implement and maintain Network Access Control (NAC) solutions to ensure secure and compliant network access.
• Collaborate with team members to support virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), storage systems, and server environments (Windows/Linux).
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements such as :
• Assess, review and configure power and environmental monitors
• Assess and redesign remote access technologies
• Assess, monitor, and update firewall and UTM security policies
• Identify performance issues with IP Transit and resolve them using well known network troubleshooting methods
• Assess, review and configure Enterprise wireless LAN systems and troubleshooting security and performance issues
• Assess, review and configure layer 3 routing issues on routers and UTM devices
• Should have ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve complex security issues.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
• Must have Ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and teams to achieve common security goals while providing excellent support and guidance to users or clients.
