Server Engineer
Location: Midway, Tennessee, United States
Responsibilities- Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows and Linux server environments (physical, virtual, cloud-hosted).
- Design and operate highly available virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Manage enterprise storage platforms including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions.
- Perform capacity planning, lifecycle management, patching, and performance tuning.
- Administer Microsoft cloud technologies:
Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra , Exchange Online, SharePoint, and One Drive. - Support security best practices: identity protection, least‑privilege access, logging, and monitoring.
- Design and test backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Collaborate with application, networking, security, and support teams to ensure integration.
- Support production systems, manufacturing, operational platforms, and after‑hours support for outages and maintenance.
- 3–5 years of experience in server, virtualization, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience managing enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability architectures.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security principles and best practices.
- Ability to document standards and procedures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
- Monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
- IT certifications or coursework (Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent).
- Manufacturing environment experience.
- Follow established procedures and escalation processes.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and improve operational skills.
- Work independently on assigned tasks with oversight from senior staff.
