Demand Planning Specialist

Schedule:
40 hrs per week, 1st shift
- Completes regular forecasting and planning for several relevant indicators (turnover, production, inventories, changes in inventory, capital expenditure requirements, employee capacities).
- Analyzes, controls, and reports on relevant KPI (productivity, profitability, capital tie‑up, assets), detects and evaluates plan deviations, and derives recommendations for respective remedial measures.
- Performs qualified cost‑and‑profitability analyses for specific business cases (product launches, relocations, review of vertical range of manufacturing) to prepare respective alternative decisions.
- Develops supplier forecasts and determines logistical processes with suppliers.
- Introduces and implements logistical requirements regarding material provision and delivery, as well as material phase‑in/out in the PLM process.
- Plans and controls assigned inventories and stocks (supply level, planning adjustments), analyzes inventory changes, and develops measures for inventory reduction.
- Analyzes and controls logistical processes (Cycle Time, First Pass Yield, On‑time delivery, KPI of effectiveness, productivity), to detect process weaknesses and start process improvements.
- Maintains a network and cooperates with all involved stakeholders in the respective processes.
- Applies professional technological, economic, or scientific know‑how to differing and variable situations.
- Solves assigned non‑routine tasks, supports development of guidelines, methods, tools, or business processes.
- Contributes to and delivers business processes or detailed technology solutions in a self‑managed, target‑oriented manner, and supports team results.
- Focuses on analyzing, developing, testing, or implementing processes, technologies, and systems in their specific field of expertise.
- Targets short to medium term milestones; achievements are monitored.
- Provides functional advice to and integrates services of operational staff or semi‑professional colleagues.
- Develops basic business understanding and contributes to team effort with expected value added.
- Improves processes, business methods, or technical components.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain planning, and operations analysis.
- Master's entry (M.S. or equivalent).
- Good knowledge in a technical field or business method, including basic theoretical background.
- Upon offer, subject to a background check.
