This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It supports manufacturing and supply chain functions across all Blue Origin facilities.

• Develop strategic procurement solutions and complete day‑to‑day tactical purchasing functions for spaceflight systems.
• Ensure program propellant requirements are prioritized and executed to meet Blue Origin’s needs.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quote, perform cost analysis, and lead negotiations for propellant and similar commodity requirements.
• Construct various contracting types for major propellant activities, including long‑range procurement agreements and vendor‑managed inventory.
• Own the procurement and scheduling process from requisition creation to final invoice payment, resolving issues throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify, implement, negotiate, execute, and manage strategic agreements such as long‑term agreements and vendor‑managed inventory to deliver production materials on time, within budget, and meeting technical performance requirements.
• Support the overall procurement organization’s strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved.
• Possess influencing, facilitation, organization, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem‑solving skills to positively impact safe human spaceflight.

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 7 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related specialty.
• Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards, and U.S. government regulations such as FAR, DFAR, and SOX compliance.
• Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.
• Maintain compliant and accurate files and data records.
• Background and experience in purchasing and negotiating bulk and micro‑bulk propellants and packaged gases.
• Strong supplier management and key performance indicator maintenance.
• Strong analytical skills and experience establishing and tracking program metrics.
• Create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations and monitor delivery schedules.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Knowledge of propellant markets or similar commodity spot, micro, and bulk buys.
• Knowledge in initiating, reviewing, and negotiating riders, leases, rental agreements, master service agreements, and production service agreements.
• Eagerness to identify opportunities, find solutions, execute plans, and evaluate results critically and expediently.
• Highly analytical and critical thinker.
• Maintain passion for solving problems from end to end.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask, and prioritize workload.
• Track record of working in an ambiguous environment and defining scalable processes.
• Adept at working with different systems and making recommendations for improvements.

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Current active DoD Secret Security Clearance and/or Special Access.
