Rossville Consolidated School District - Maintain school buildings and grounds in a safe, clean, and healthy condition for students, staff, and visitors.
- Work with the custodial team under the Custodial Supervisor's direction.
- Key responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas; caring for floors and carpets; emptying trash and replenishing supplies; cleaning windows and furnishings; operating custodial equipment safely; performing minor repairs; assisting with event setup and cleanup; removing snow, ice, and debris from entrances and walkways; reporting equipment and supply needs; and securing buildings.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- High school diploma or GED, plus vocational training or two years of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of custodial work.
- Ability to follow directions and use cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment safely and properly.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with custodial staff.
- The position requires a 40-hour workweek, occasional overtime, and emergency response as needed.
