Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: Select, train and supervise undergraduate Residential Assistant (RA) staff and manage operational functions in assigned residence halls. Provide coping resources to students, including personal, cultural and educational. Assist in establishing goals and objectives to enhance the residential experience.
Under the administrative direction of Director of Residence Life
Under the general direction of Dean of Students
Responsible for all shifts, 7 days/week, 24 hours/day. Incumbents are subject to callback as required.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree and/or work experience in a residential life/housing facility at a college or university.
Desired QualificationsMaster’s Degree preferred. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.
Physical RequirementsWork requires the physical demands of standing, bending, lifting, stooping or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) on an occasional basis (up to 15% of time) and frequent walking; or moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on an intermittent basis (not a routine part of the job).
Environmental ConditionsWork involves intermittent to occasional exposure to unpleasant working conditions or undesirable elements; may involve some contact with potentially hazardous or harmful elements in providing administrative or support services.
