Position Overview

The Director of Programs – NOG J is responsible for leading all programs and strategic initiatives across the Jonesborough site, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term business strategy. This role oversees program execution, governance, strategic planning, and cross functional coordination, and manages a team of program and project managers. The Director serves as a primary liaison between site leadership, corporate leadership, subcontractors, and key external stakeholders.

This position drives operational excellence, resource optimization, and enterprise level transformation initiatives while ensuring all programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Your Day To Day As a Director Of Programs
  • Define, communicate, and execute the vision and strategy for program management at NOG J.
  • Align program objectives with site and enterprise strategic priorities.
  • Serve as chief coordinator of strategic initiatives for the General Manager, Jonesborough.
  • Lead development and monitoring of annual operating objectives, long range plans, and organizational performance metrics.
  • Lead planning, prioritization, and implementation of programs and projects across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks to monitor performance, progress, and outcomes.
  • Manage the strategic initiative portfolio and track execution against commitments.
  • Provide functional oversight for subcontractors supporting program execution.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high performing team of program and project managers.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross functional teams to address critical business challenges and emerging opportunities.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for senior leadership, regulators, customers, and key stakeholders on program related issues.
  • Coordinate executive leadership meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Develop executive level presentations, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership, customers, regulators, and boards.
