As a Maintenance Mechanic at Solenis, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot site equipment to ensure safe operation and maximum production availability. Working safely within a team to accomplish common goals is paramount.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Performing general mechanic maintenance activities in a team atmosphere to meet or exceed safety, environmental, and production goals.
- Keeping production units and supporting facilities in reliable working condition.
- Using good judgment to make decisions that contribute to overall plant efficiency, objectives, and policies.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of maintenance experience in an industrial plant, preferably chemical operations.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics, including fractions, decimals, and minor algebra.
- Good working knowledge of Millwright work, Machining, Welding, and/or Pipe fitting.
- Knowledge of and experience with various drive train equipment (gears, bearings, belts).
- Rotating Equipment Alignment experience is preferred.
- Rigging experience and operation of lifting equipment are preferred.
- Proficiency with various measuring instruments.
- Hydraulics experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of welding and burning techniques; welding certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Preventive and Predictive Maintenance is preferred.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Work safely to prevent injury to self or others.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical components of production and packaging processes.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures and repairs.
- Use blueprints, schematics, manufacturer specifications, and manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Utilize PCs, software, email, and SAP.
- Recommend system or equipment changes to improve reliability and process efficiency.
- Suggest tools, equipment, or methods to enhance safety and repair timeliness.
- Support 24-hour operations with on-call coverage if needed; shift work may be required.
