Overview
The Production Technician plays a vital role in preparing used large metal industrial components for the inspection and remanufacturing process. This is hands‑on, physically demanding work, disassembling, washing, and shot blasting heavy parts using industrial equipment to ensure they are clean and ready for quality assessment.

Compensation- $18 - $18.5 / hr
- Morning Shift: 5am - 2pm
- Monday - Friday
- This is a full time, direct hire position, not temp

- Disassembly – Safely disassemble used industrial metal components using hydraulic presses and hand tools for downstream processing.
- Washing & Shot Blasting – Operate industrial washers and shot blasting machines to remove contaminants and prepare parts for inspection.
- Visual Awareness – Monitor part condition and cleanliness to ensure components are properly prepared before passing to the inspection team.
- Tool & Machine Setup – Adjust and maintain washer chemistry and shot blaster settings to meet cleaning specifications.
- Material Handling – Safely lift, move, and position heavy metal components throughout the disassembly and washing process.
- Preventive Maintenance – Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on wash and blast equipment to ensure proper function and reduce downtime.
- Training & Mentorship – Assist in onboarding new associates by modeling proper techniques and promoting a culture of quality and accountability.
- Continuous Improvement – Engage in lean initiatives to enhance inspection processes, reduce waste, and improve overall product flow.
To qualify for this role, you should have the following skills and experience.
Basic- Manufacturing: Manufacturing or quality‑focused experience preferred.
- Short‑Cycle: Ability to perform repetitive or short‑cycle work.
- Inspection
Skills:
Familiarity with dimensional and visual quality inspection. - Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using hand tools, presses and industrial cleaners.
- Communication & Teamwork: Strong verbal and written communication.
- Math & Reading
Skills:
Follow written procedures and perform basic math.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive or short‑cycle work.
- Frequent lifting, walking, reaching, pushing, and handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Moderate twisting and bending.
- Loud manufacturing floor with exposure to metals, lubricants, and process chemicals.
- Seasonal variation in temperature (cold/heat).
