Production Utility Operator

Position Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Rotating Swing Shift (Straight Days or Straight Nights – Shift Differential Provided)

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Colonial Chemical is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Utility Operator to support operations in our 30-vessel chemical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for material handling, packaging, equipment operation, and maintaining accurate production documentation in a fast-paced environment.

• Operate mixing controls, vessels, filters, and pumps
• Prepare and clean equipment for product packaging
• Unload and transfer materials from tank wagons, storage tanks, and reactors
• Stage raw materials and maintain warehouse flow
• Operate forklifts and hand trucks
• Maintain accurate production records and perform basic calculations
• Follow all safety and quality procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ year of manufacturing or chemical plant experience preferred
• Basic computer skills (label systems, Chempax or similar ERP)
• Ability to work independently and stay focused on repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working in hot and cold environments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be available for 24/7 rotating swing shifts
