Base Pay is $17.25 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift differential for night shift
Night Shift: 7pm - 7am, 12 hour rotating schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, every other weekend)

Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssociate grinds scrap material for reuse in later product runs. Associate also ensures proper labeling of gaylords, color consistency of grinding runs, and safe operation of grinder(s).
- Set up grinder workstation at shift start, ensuring proper positioning of skids, sacks, and chutes. Clean and maintain grinder.
- Manually feed scrap materials, punch-outs and knockouts into grinder pit(s), monitoring grinder operations to prevent overloads.
- Ensure all scrap racks and flowbins are properly stacked in the correct location.
- Ensure that product feeds are consistent in color.
- Distribute regrind in flowbins and breakdown empty gaylords. Ensure that flowbins are logged and placed in proper location.
- Report daily regrind to ensure inventories remain consistent.
- Perform safety checks on flow bins and racks for all defects.
- Collect and weigh vinyl scrap from production lines.
- Check daily grinding runs for proper mix and consistency; ensure proper handling, packaging, and weight of gaylords; complete regrind report.
- Segregate acceptable from unacceptable scrap.
- Assist with the production of pulverized material.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times, and perform daily cleaning of grinding pit.
- Assist Maintenance with grinder maintenance.
- Complete daily forklift safety/damage inspection checks.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Education: High school graduate or G.E.D.
Experience
- No experience required. Prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge
- Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require.
Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: Prefer ability to learn to work with computer systems. Must have good manual dexterity. Must be accurate in keeping colors separate, and recording weights. Must be able to learn to safely operate forklift equipment. Prefer ability to safely operate multi-directional forklift. Must have good communication skills and be able to interact with people. Must be able to lift 86 pounds maximum individually.
Must be able to move 87-100 pounds with assistance. Must be mechanically inclined.
Working Conditions: Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to constant loud noise, temperature extremes, and dust. Position requires continual walking, standing, periodic pulling, heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and pushing.
Equipment/Tools Used: Blue bins; digital scale; forklift; split tail; scrap racks; safety glasses; hearing protection; gloves; calculator.
Safety: Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions. Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate's performance appraisal.
