The Titanium Technology facility located in New Johnsonville, Tennessee has openings for Senior Operators.

Responsibilities
  • Operate manual valves, perform minor maintenance activity, perform analytical work in field labs, and ensure equipment is safe to operate.
  • Monitor and operate equipment and facilities, including field equipment, to ensure quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Adhere to job procedures, safety protocols, and quality policies; use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow procedures for handling hazardous materials; participate in safety training programs.
  • Participate in regular safety audits and follow procedures such as confined space entry, lock out tag out, and emergency response.
  • Operate process units to handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials using standard procedures, including valves, pumps, blowers, compressors, burners, screws, eductors, computer systems, and other process equipment.
  • Complete daily operator rounds/inspections, write daily shift notes, generate work orders for repairs, construct barricades for hazards, review/revise SJPs, and order area supplies.
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on process equipment using mechanical knowledge and manufacturer literature to restore operation.
  • Complete routine housekeeping tasks and collect/process material samples; enter results into the appropriate system; calibrate in-area lab equipment as needed.
  • Prepare for confined space entry, lock out tag out, hot work permits, and line breaks; purge, drain, isolate, and lock out equipment to ready it for maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and restore equipment; provide peer coaching and training for new Operator personnel after training completion.
  • Operate forklifts and other motive equipment; respond to emergency operations as part of the EOC/ERT when needed.
  • Support transition from a 40-hour day schedule to a 12-hour rotating shift schedule; overtime may be required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness/ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs; ability to wear a respirator and other PPE, including acid suits.
  • Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs, including fixed ladders, and to work in all weather conditions and in confined spaces.
  • Capable of learning quickly and working in a team environment.
