Position Overview
A Woodworker performs a wide variety of fabrication tasks centered around building cabinetry.
Essential Functions- Performs basic wood working or rough carpentry work on small or large boats.
- Frequently involves use of staples and staple guns in assembly of rough wood structures to be covered with other materials (fiberglass, upholstery).
- Includes mill assembly and lamination woodworking positions.
- Must be willing to learn all aspects of woodshop including running CNC routers, cabinet building, and assembly builds.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in basic or rough carpentry.
- Ability to read and understand production schedule and blueprints.
- Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator if needed.
- Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual.
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal.
- Working knowledge of procedures, instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system.
- Must always possess the desire and ambition to work safely and report hazards to supervisor immediately.
- Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
- Must be able to physically handle job requirements, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation.
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.18 per hour
. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
