NDT Technician – Piney Flats, TN

The position will perform non‑destructive testing to evaluate the integrity and quality of materials, components, and structures without causing damage. Using specialized techniques such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and eddy current testing, the technician will identify defects, ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, and document findings in detailed reports. The role also involves maintaining and calibrating equipment while collaborating with engineers and quality assurance teams to ensure product reliability and safety.

• Set up and standardize equipment, conduct tests, and document results
• Interpret and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection with Level II or III guidance
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method in which you are certified
• Assist with Bell special repair processes
• Meet industry standard requirements for non‑destructive testing personnel, as stated in NAS 410
• As needed, work toward the next level and/or other NDT certifications
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• High attention to detail
• Understanding of standards and regulations related to job duties
• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others on the team
• Strong safety awareness
• Previous job‑related experience preferred, specifically in dye penetrant (PT) and/or magnetic particle (MT)

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire shift
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools
• Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks
• Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about progress and potential issues
• Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed
