The Material Handler in our Material Handling Department transports metal to and from our finishing departments and reports to the Packing Department Manager. This role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Ensures quality in the process including verification of the part, quantities, quality, finish, and the correct length of the metal.
• Assists with general housekeeping in the Material Handling department.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a fast pace.
• Self-motivated, safety-focused, and a team player.
• Willingness to wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, cut-resistant sleeves, steel-toe boots with met guard).
• Must be able to maintain departmental production and quality standards with little supervision.
• Teamwork is essential; must be able to work closely and effectively communicate with coworkers.
• Must be able to make simple mathematical calculations and learn to complete a packing report.
• Must be able to work a 21-hour turn schedule.
