Location: Jasper
Work Shift
Monday – Thursday: 8:00PM – 6:15AM
Friday – Sunday: 6:00PM – 6:15AM.
- Lay out, align, and weld fabricated metal components for utility/engineered support structure poles and related structures.
- Interpret blueprints and fit components accurately in preparation for welding.
- Perform structural welding tasks following established procedures and safety standards.
- Use hand tools and measuring devices to ensure precision and quality.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency to meet production deadlines.
- Take ownership of tools and equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Actively participate in safety programs and uphold all company safety policies and procedures.
- Prepare components for welding by fitting together in “ready‑to‑weld” condition.
- Utilize all safety devices and wear all mandatory personal protective safety equipment.
- Operate overhead cranes, jibs, smasher, oxy‑fuel and plasma cutting equipment.
- Submit two safety contact cards monthly.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Responsible for own work; coordinate with associates to complete jobs. Make mathematical calculations for product preparation or machine setup. Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets without assistance.
Qualifications- Successful completion of a 1G weld test.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for accurate product fit‑up.
- Proficient in basic math and measurement systems.
- Understand quality standards and production requirements.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with minimal supervision.
- Work efficiently and deliver error‑free results on time.
- Support other team members as needed.
- High awareness for safety at all times.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0–3 years industrial welding experience (preferred).
- AWS certified welder operator qualification for both SAW and GMAW processes.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions.
- Communicate and interact positively with coworkers.
- Drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
