Position: Packer/  Allen Tech - 2nd shift
Location: Fayetteville

Packers/Allen Techs are critical to success at Frito Lay! Our Packers are responsible for constructing boxes and packing them full of products you already know and love. Although you will start with Frito Lay, we are investing in helping you grow with us. This job can open the door to career opportunities with us or our parent company, Pepsi Co.

In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing:
  • Able to lead a changeover (wet and dry wipe) on the Allen / Weigher level /Reading changeover matrix and changeover map and How to set up for a startup and shutdown (air gates)/ Understand the meaning of the different PSMs (Start up, Dry wipe, Wet wash)
  • Exhibit good housekeeping skills such as sweeping overflow product, cleaning tools, scraping lines and radial feeders etc/ Understand how to properly scrape Allen pans (on/off switches for Allen pans)

  • Understand the parts of an Ishida and how to properly assemble and dissemble them/ Able to Identify Metal on Metal
  • Understand the procedures to start up a hand pack line when allens are heavy/ Understand the break schedules for each department.

  • Comply with all GMP protocol and safety policies (safety glasses, no jewelry, ear buds)/ Moment of Truth (See something say something)

  • Submit work orders in SAP, previously known as Avantis and Support during audits (AIB, F22k, Etc.)
  • Understand the importance of PSM and how to complete one/ Develop and maintain quality safety training /Obtain and retain required certifications and Need to have good documentation skills, these documents are reviewed by an auditor during regulatory audits.
  • How to operate NACE / TACE Machines and Ordering Cases to box mezzanine/ Sort and Cull cases and how to load into the case erectors/Forming cases and pack bags into cases/How to read case labels, code dates, and identify bag defects while packing
  • Other duties as assigned
We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule, and it's a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse or manufacturing environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet the entirety of your shift. Packers are expected to stay on the line until relieved for break. We're seeking individuals who are flexible, committed, and safety-focused.
