Machine Operator 2nd Shift (4x10 Schedule Mon.
-Thurs.)
As a Machine Operator, you will play an integral role in one of the final stages of our production process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and are delivered safely to customers.
Primary Responsibilities- Operate testing equipment, drills, positioning products, components, or parts appropriately.
- Safely operate overhead cranes when moving materials around the work cell and testing equipment.
- Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.
- Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
- Clean, maintain, calibrate, or repair measuring instruments or test equipment, such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, or height gauges.
- Assist in the assembly of products when necessary.
- Maintain operational documentation, including production and quality logs.
- Ensure work areas and department are clean and organized.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to all relevant safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations and flagging any equipment or safety issues to the appropriate team lead, supervisor, maintenance, or EHS personnel utilizing the "Stop, Call, Wait" procedure.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use and read measuring tools, gauges, and machine panels.
- Strong personal commitment to safety standards in industrial and/or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Familiarity with basic tools for measurement and inspection of parts.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Holds a valid driver’s license.
- 3+ years operating testing equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, and/or ear plugs.
- Ability to correctly wear a PAPR/respirator when working in a paint area.
- Use hands to handle, feel, or manipulate objects with fingers.
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, and reach within hand and/or arm’s length.
- Frequently stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Occasionally reach overhead or at or below shoulder level.
- Ascend or descend ladders or steps in confined spaces as required.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects between 25 and 50 pounds in all directions.
- Remain in stationary or standing position for prolonged periods and alternate between positions as necessary.
- Repeat gross or fine manipulation that may include the use of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Perform close visual inspections of products, requiring specific vision requirements.
- Clearly see pedestrians and objects, requiring specific vision requirements.
- Work in an open warehouse environment, subject to seasonal weather (hot/cold).
- Safely operate standing and sit‑down power industrial trucks (PIT) and other similar and advanced industrial equipment.
