Position: Weber Inspector - 12 Hr. Shift (7AM-7PM)
Location: Piney Flats

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Following procedures to safely meet customer expectations
  • Complete required paperwork accurately
  • Monitoring results and ensuring the quality of material and final products before leaving the work area
  • Inspect bags coming off of bag machine for defects such as loose or torn edges or wrinkles, missing or misapplied glue, misprinted bags, color variation and inaccurate registration or ink smears
  • Notify operating personnel of defects
  • Locate and removes defective bags from conveyor, stacking tables or pallets
  • Ability to train others
  • Ability to comprehend Spec Sheets
  • Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate mechanical comprehension.
  • Support SQF Certification.
  • Dispose of defective bags and bundles and places on pallets for shipping.
  • Read job order and ensure products are stacked correctly as indicated on job order.
  • Review Spec sheets to determine if the bags are meeting the customer specifications
  • Check for defects and measure bag while machine is running without interruption.
  • Assist Weber Operator in maintaining a clean work area.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working area.
  • Understands and can apply lockout / tagout
  • Possess a positive attitude, demonstrating a proactive instead of a reactive approach
  • Posses a willingness to learn and seek personal growth
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Basic math skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stand, walk, reach and grasp with hands.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
