CNC Machinist
Join Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN as a CNC Machinist. You will work in a modern machine shop with advanced automation and robotics. You will produce precision components for transformers and grid applications.
You will set up and operate multi-axis CNC equipment. You will also support process improvements and new technology adoption. This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge machines.

How You Will Make A Difference
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines
- Run Mazak and DMG Mori equipment
- Perform tooling setup, offsets, and fixture alignment
- Edit and adjust G-code and machine programs
- Interpret drawings and apply GD&T requirements
- Monitor machine performance and adjust processes
- Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and program issues
- Support automation and robotic manufacturing systems
- Perform basic maintenance and continuous improvement tasks
Your Background
- Vocational training in machining or equivalent experience
- CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with multi-axis machining or CNC equipment
- Strong understanding of G-code and machining basics
- Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T
- Experience holding tight tolerances on precision parts
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and standard work
- Willingness to travel for training if needed
